After graduating from dental school at Oregon Health & Science University, I worked in several different clinics around the more rural parts of Oregon serving low income patients. I am married to my beautiful wife Nicole, my college girlfriend from GFU. We were married in 2006 and have 3 great kids, who keep us very busy. We have a daughter (Reese, 10), and two boys (Wyatt, 5 and Bennett, 3). In my “free time”, I enjoy playing the guitar, hiking, watching movies, and drinking tea. Toothbrush: I’ve used the Oral B Genius electric toothbrush since I was in dental school and I really like it. Toothpaste: I really just use whatever I can get my hands on. People always ask if I have a preference between Crest and Colgate and I always tell them it’s like the difference between Coke and Pepsi, just personal preference. I enjoy helping people where I can. My husband and I live in Newberg and absolutely love it here. We are entering a new phase of life. Our kids are grown and are starting their lives. When I am not working, I really enjoy working out, hiking, walking my dog, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. Toothbrush: I really like using the Crest Oral B Genius electric toothbrush. Toothpaste: So many out there and I have tried lots of them. Toothbrush: I began using an electric toothbrush after my hygienist recommended my doing so several years ago. Although Oral B and Sonicare are both excellent brands, I prefer the Oral B. Toothpaste: I switch between Crest brands and Tom's fluoridated toothpaste. I love being a dental hygienist because I get to help make you healthier and work with you to prevent cavities and gum disease. I enjoy meeting new people and learning your story. I love my job! I have worked at several great dental offices over the years but this is the best team I have ever had the privilege of working with. I work just a couple of days a week and the rest of the time I am home with my two young daughters. I love to cook, play board games, and visit all of the amazing parks and attractions the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I always try to bring a gentle touch and warm smile to my work. I switched to an electric toothbrush during dental hygiene school, and have been using a Sonicare or Oral B brush ever since. The clean I feel after using an electric brush does not compare to what I feel after using a manual toothbrush. Away from the office I stay busy with my husband, and two boys, and their dog, a puggle named Ramsey. As a family we enjoy exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We like to spend quality time with family and friends, and check out new restaurants and breweries.
